Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am will be turning up as a guest mentor in the upcoming Mother’s Day Episode of “American Idol Season 20” on Sunday (May 8).
Will.i.am will be joining judges Kate Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on the special episode show that will see the top 7 finalists of the season dedicating songs to their mothers or to the mother figure in their lives. The contestants will also perform viral hits made popular on TikTok.
Will.i.am will help and support the contestants who will be looking to grab a spot in the top 5. Fritz Hager, Leah Marlene, Jay Copeland, HunterGirl, Noah Thompson, Nicolina Bozzo and Christian Guardino are the seven contestants
Will has wealth of experience with regard to reality shows, having starred as a judge on Fox‘s “Alter Ego” singing avatar show last year, appearing as a guest on NBC‘s “Songland,” and handling mentoring duties on “X-Factor” and “The Voice.” He also performed the role of a coach on “The Voice UK” this year.
