President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host a Juneteenth Concert at the White House on Tuesday, June 13, featuring Jennifer Hudson, Method Man and more.
The concert, set to take place on the South Lawn, will be a celebration of community, culture and music.
The artists and bands that are scheduled to perform include Hudson, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Audra McDonald, Broadway Inspirational Voices, Colman Domingo, Fisk Jubilee Singers, Hampton University Concert Choir, Ledisi, Maverick City Music, Morgan State University Marching Band – The Magnificent Marching Machine, Nicco Annan, Patina Miller, Step Afrika!, Tennessee State University Marching Band – Aristocrat of Bands, and the President’s United States Marine Band.
This event is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, Pernod Ricard USA, STARZ #TaketheLead Initiative and The Recording Academy.
“This concert celebration will also take place during Black Music Month, where the Biden-Harris Administration will uplift American art forms that sing to the soul of the American experience,” the White House said in a statement.
