The Weeknd Added To Lineup Of Performers At 2021 Brit Awards

The Weeknd has been added to the already star-studded lineup of performers at this year’s Brit Awards.

The Canadian singer-songwriter is nominated for the third time for International Male Solo Artist at this year’s BRITs. He last performed at the show in 2016. This time, due to current restrictions, his exclusive performance will be filmed remotely.

The Weekndwill be joining previously announced artists Dua Lipa, Griff, Arlo Parks, Headie One, P!nk & Rag’n’Bone Man and Olivia Rodrigo to perform on May 11.

Coldplay will open the 2021 Brit Awards with a performance of their upcoming single, “Higher Power.”

The Weeknd’s latest album After Hours, which spawned the record-breaking single “Blinding Lights.” went No. 1 in more than 26 countries on its release last year.

He currently holds the record as the first male artist to achieve three No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 from the same album in three different years.
