Rapper Post Malone, who made a small appearance in Guy Ritchie‘s most recent flick Wrath Of Man, was very eager to be killed by Jason Statham in the movie.
In an interview with USA Today, Statham said, “Post came in with this big enthusiasm for being killed that day. He’s like, ‘I can’t wait for you to kill me, man.’ I got sucked into that enthusiasm and he did a great job.”
“It’s just a shame that it was a short moment together. But I was privileged to pull the trigger in our little scene,” he added.
Statham also revealed that Malone invited him for a music collaboration, but the actor refused the offer.
“He invited me to come make a record. I quickly relieved him of that bad choice,” Statham said.
Statham, who stars as a cash truck security guard in Wrath of Man, demonstrates his shooting skills to his colleagues when a group of robbers try to rob their cash truck. In the end of the scene, he ends up shooting Malone’s character point blank.
Malone had previously made his acting debut in 2020’s Spenser Confidential alongside Mark Wahlberg.
Wrath of Man was released in the U.S. on Friday, May 7. The movie opened at No. 1 in North America with an $8.1 million debut weekend.
