Kelly Rowland recently walked off the “Today” show over a dressing room issue, after which Rita Ora had to step in for her.
The former Destiny’s Child member abruptly left the set of “Today With Hoda & Jenna” over an issue with her dressing room, when she was supposed to fill in for Jenna Bush Hager as a guest host.
“Kelly walked out because she and her team didn’t like her dressing room,” according to People. “Rita Ora agreed to fill in at the last minute. Many people at the show, inside and outside of the show, were impressed with how great she was.”
According to Page Six, Rowland asked about using a green room upstairs because she was unhappy with the one she was in, but it was being used by Jennifer Lopez, who was on hand to promote her new album, This Is Me. Now and film The Greatest Love Story Never Told. The report says Rowland was then offered several other options, but she opted to leave instead.
Rowland was on “Today” to promote her new movie Mea Culpa, a legal thriller she starred in and produced. The film hits Netflix on February 23.
