Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj‘s video for “Beauty And A Beat” has surpassed one billion views on YouTube.
The song by the Canadian singer from his third studio album Believe, featuring the Trinidadian rapper, was released in 2012.
“Beauty And A Beat” was co-written by Minaj, Savan Kotecha, Max Martin and Zedd. It is the only song from Believe that Bieber did not co-write.
Lyrically, it speaks about Bieber wanting to take his love interest to a club, where they can “party like it’s 3012.”
The song as well as the album were success in the U.S. and internationally.
Believe debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with first-week sales of 374,000 copies, and was later certified Platinum by the RIAA.
“Beauty And A Beat” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Dance Club Songs chart.
