John Legend recently released a video for “Dope,” the first song from his upcoming album.
The video, directed by Christian Breslauer, shows Legend performing the song and partying with friends, including rapper J.I.D., at a soulful, eclectic retro house party.
Ian Kirkpatrick and Ryan Tedder produced the song, which Legend co-wrote with Charlie Puth, Tedder, and J.I.D.
The EGOT artist first shared part of “Dope” during the iHeart Awards, where he took part in a special fan-favorite dueling piano performance with Puth.
