Jennifer Hudson Shows Off EGOT Collection After Receiving Tony In The Mail

Jennifer Hudson has exhibited her EGOT collection after receiving her Tony award in the mail.

The singer earned the very rare EGOT status in June by adding a Tony to the Emmy, Grammy and Oscar awards that she had already won.

Hudson won a Tony for her work as a producer on Best Musical winner, Broadway’s “A Strange Loop.”

The “American Idol” alum revealed via Instagram that her fourth statue in the EGOT categories finally arrived in the mail on Friday.

“Look what arrived [y’all]!!! @thetonyawards @strangeloopbway,” Hudson captioned a photo of her holding the Tony statue and other trophies sitting on her piano beside.

Hudson won the Oscar award for Best Supporting Actress in the 2006 film Dreamgirls.

She earned a Grammy for Best R&B Album for her 2008 self-titled album and again for best musical theatre album for 2016’s The Color Purple.

Last year, she won an Emmy award for Outstanding Interactive Media for a Daytime Program for her work as a producer on the animated short film Baba Yaga.

The 40-year-old American singer and actress is the youngest woman of color to achieve EGOT status.
