Jack Harlow Named Songwriter Of The Year At 2022 SESAC Music Awards

Jack Harlow was named Songwriter Of the Year at the 2022 SESAC Music Awards last Wednesday. This marks the second consecutive year that the rapper has won the award.

After being confined to an online event due to the pandemic for the past two years, the performing rights organization conducted its annual ceremony recognizing member songwriters and music publishers behind the year’s most-performed songs at The London in West Hollywood.

Harlow also won the song of the year award for the second year in a row. His “Industry Baby” and Glass Animals‘ “Heat Waves” shared the honor.

Sony Music Publishing was named Publisher of the Year, while Bryan-Michael Cox was selected for the SESAC Icon Award.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating together in person honoring our talented pop, R&B, rap, and hip-hop affiliates,” Sam Kling, chief creative officer, SESAC Performing Rights, said in a statement. “Our songwriters and producers have created amazing, record-breaking music and we’re honored to represent their songs.”
