FKA Twigs has reportedly been cast in the upcoming reboot of The Crow based on the graphic novel series by James O’Barr.
The picture, which will also star Bill Skarsgård, is to be directed by Rupert Sanders. King Richard writer Zach Baylin is writing the new script.
The thriller will be produced by Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks and Edward R. Pressman.
“The Crow is beautiful, dark, poetic and sometimes disturbing,” says director Sanders. “It is a story of love, loss, grief and revenge. It is a great honor to revisit James O’Barr’s iconic comic and reimagine The Crow as a foreboding voice of today.”
For FKA twigs, whose acting debut was in the 2019 indie Honey Boy, The Crow reboot will be her second movie.
The graphic novel series, first published by Caliber Comics in 1989, was brought to the screen by director Alex Proyas in 1994. It starred the late Brandon Lee.
