Drake, 21 Savage Settle Lawsuit Over Fake Vogue Cover

Superstar rappers Drake and 21 Savage have settled a lawsuit with Condé Nast, the publisher of Vogue, over using the popular magazine’s name and cover to promote their album, Her Loss.

According to Billboard, the settlement deal, which was first reported by the news site Semafor, includes a permanent injunction barring any further use of Vogue trademarks as well as an undisclosed monetary payment from Drake and 21 Savage.

In November, Drake and 21 Savage reprinted a full issue of Vogue with the fake cover and handed it out in several North American cities, which according to Vogue led fans to believe the magazines were genuine.

As part of the promotion of the album, the pair had also released a fake “Saturday Night Live” performance and teased a similar fake appearance on NPR‘s Tiny Desk series.
