Chlöe Bailey To Star In Adaption Of Bob Dylan-Inspired ‘Girl From The North Country’

Chlöe Bailey is reportedly set to star in an adaptation of “Girl From The North Country,” a Broadway musical featuring Bob Dylan songs.

According to Variety, Olivia Colman and Woody Harrelson will also star in the adaptation, while playwright Conor McPherson will write and direct.

“Girl From the North Country” features songs from Dylan’s expansive music library, including “Forever Young,” “All Along the Watchtower” and “Like a Rolling Stone”.

Blueprint Pictures is backing the film, with executives Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin serving as producers. CAA Media Finance will represent the film’s domestic sales with Rocket Science launching international sales at the upcoming Berlin Film Festival.

According to Variety, “Girl From the North Country” is based in 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota, during the Great Depression. It centers on a group of wayward travelers as their lives intersect in a guesthouse.
