Beyonce, SZA Among Big Winners At 2023 BET Awards

Beyonce and SZA were among the big winners at the 2023 BET Awards, winning three awards each.

SZA‘s SOS tied with Beyonce’s Renaissance for album of the year. She also won the award for best female R&B/pop artist, while her “Kill Bill” was adjudged video of the year.

Besides album of the year, Beyonce won the BET Her Award and the viewer’s choice award for the Billboard Hot 100-topping song “Break My Soul.”

This is the third time that Queen Bey has won the BET Her Award, which honors motivational and empowering songs that center on women.

Drake, who was the most-nominated artist with seven, won the awards for best group for his collaboration with 21 Savage and best collaboration for Future‘s “Wait for You,” on which he was featured along with Tems.

Kendrick Lamar was named the Best Male Hip Hop Artist, while Chris Brown tied with Usher for the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.

Coco Jones burst into tears after accepting the Best New Artist award.

Teyana “Spike Tey” Taylor won the award for video director of the year.
