‘Aaliyah’ Returns To Top 10 On Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart

Aaliyah‘s self-titled album has returned to Billboard‘s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

The 2001 album is ranked 7th on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart dated September 25.

Aaliyah earned 26,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 16, according to MRC Data. Of the total, 15,000 units are from traditional album sales, 9,000 units were earned from streaming and 2,000 units were earned from individual track downloads of the album’s songs.

The last time Aaliyah entered the top 10 was on November 10, 2001, when it ranked No. 9 on the chart.

The highest position Aaliyah reached was No. 2 for four weeks earlier that year – on the charts dated August 4 and 11 and September 15 and 22.

The best performing track from Aaliyah was “Rock the Boat,” selling 4,400 downloads in the week ending September 16.
