On 05/05/2024 at about 8:50 PM the Dixie Food Mart in Parkers Chapel was robbed by the suspect pictured. The suspect was described as a white male wearing jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt. The suspect also wore a mask that possibly had stars on it. It was also noted that the suspect had what appeared to be a large rip in the back of his jeans. A witness stated that the suspect appeared to have interacted with people in vehicles in the parking lot prior to the entering the store, and that the suspect fled north from the store, crossing in front of the church before turning east into the neighborhood. EL DORADO Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — One group in El Dorado is working with area youth to guide them in the right direction and help them avoid a path of destruction on the streets. The Men of Purpose are leading kids through the power of music and fellowship.
The Living Testimony Concert is finally set and the Men of Purpose are coming together to bring unity through Christ in South Arkansas. The group began with the idea of what heaven truly looks like – unity and love no matter the circumstance. Tonio Armani will headline the event. Armani is a Christian music powerhouse with a big story that resonates with the younger audience. The event will also feature live performances from local talents and speakers such as Justin Rosson, Sounds of Judah, Leah Kirksey and of course S.O.T.S.

It has been a mild day across the ArkLaMiss today. Monroe and El Dorado both saw high temperatures reach 89 degrees, making today the warmest day of 2024 for El Dorado. Today was a tie with last week for warmest day of the year in Monroe. We aren’t done with the mild weather yet. Upper 80s and low 90s are expected for the next few days, before a cold front cools us down into the low 80s just in time for the weekend. There are also a few chances for rain in the forecast, and we will have to monitor a few storms Thursday night as they could be strong to severe.
